Sepia Scenes Tea Caddy / Jar

This is a nice lidded tea jar / caddy made by Fuerstenberg in the early 19th century. It is hand painted in Sepia tones with a scene to the front and back side and has a simple gold trim to the top edge. The lid has two small scenes to it with a bit of gold trim and a nice gilded finial. The one scene includes two people as well as a building in the distance in a landscape surrounding while the other scene has two people near an old ruin in a landscape surrounding. Nicely done and the piece looks superb! The caddy and lid are in superb condition with just a touch of wear to the gilding and a tiny chip to the very tip of the finial. The main body is marked with their blue script F mark as well as a blue 2, impressed number two and another impressed mark I cannot make out. It is 4.75 inches tall and 2.875 inches in diameter.
