Sepia Scene Plate #1

This is a great plate made by Fuerstenberg around 1820. The piece is hand painted in sepia tones with a scene of a town during this era. Not sure which one but maybe someone could identify it. It does ahve the feeling of my home town of Holziminden but could be Hoexter or any number of towns in the area. The scene shows a few buldings as well as figures and two cows as well as a road and some trees. The rim has two thick gold rings with a thin gold line along the edge of the thicker gold rings. A typical Biedermeier style piece that looks stunning. Hard to find these scenic pieces from this time period! The mark was used from 1820-1860 but this style looks closer to the 1820 end of this period. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 8.625 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with some use marks to the gold trim and a scratch along the right side of the tower but it displays perfectly! The piece is marked with the under glaze blue script F mark of the period as well as blue number 7 as shown. A scratch mark under the F denoting it as a second choice piece possibly because of the large black firing spot and brown line along the back side rim. Wish it was labelled as to the town on the front but no such luck :( Please email me for more information or photos.
