19 Piece Service

This is a tea and coffee service made by Fuerstenberg in the late 18th century. All pieces are handpainted with flowers in the Sepia colors with gold highlights with the cups and saucers all having one large flower arrangement and the cups also have some small single flowers. The larger pieces all have two large flower arrangements and some smaller flowers. All pieces have a nice rim design with some gold trim. The square handles which I happen to love are typical for the classicism period around 1800. All pieces are marked with the underglaze blue F mark underneath as well as some other incised numbers and letters. The set is in great condition with one cup being a later replacement but still quite old (early to mid 19th century). There is a little bit of wear to the gold highlights mostly as well as the rims. The smaller pot has some nibbles on the spout and a small long chip on the handle. The lid of the larger pot has a few small nibbles underneath and that is really it. The smaller pot is 5.75 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter, the larger pot is 8.75 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter, the sugar dish is 4.75 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter, the waste bowl is 3.5 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter, the cups are 2 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter and the saucers are 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter.
