Scenic Tea Caddy

This is a lidded tea jar made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. It is handpainted with a nice scene on the front and back as well as a smaller scene on the sides. Nice gold trim to top edge. The lid has a few small flowers handpainted on it and a nice finial and some gold trim - it was however made by Meissen in the 18th century and is thus a match - be it a decent one. The caddy is in good condition with a chip to the top edge restored. A little overspray from the restored chip hit the area of the mark which thus looks odd but is fine! The piece is marked with the underglaze blue script F mark with the number 2 (a size reference) on the rim which would be covered by the lid. It is 5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
