Scenic Coffee Set

This is a superb scenic 3 piece set made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. All pieces are handpainted with two superb scenes in color with some nice gold trim to the rims, handles and spouts as well as the pine cone finial on the lid. I also own a matching cup and saucer so you could make it a real service :) The scenes are of top quality and about as good as it comes from Fuerstenberg except off course for the Pascha Weitsch stuff. The square handles which I happen to love are typical for the classicism period of the later 18th century. All pieces are marked with the underglaze blue F mark underneath as well as some other incised numbers and letters. They are in great condition with the coffee pot having a very minor chip to the bottom side of the handle and some chipping to the spout which is fairly minor as well. The sugar dish has one tiny chip to the bottom edge and the hot water pot has some chipping to the spout again not terrible, one tiny chip to the bottom edge with a bit bigger spot next to it that looks to be manufacturing related but sadly its cover was broken in half and reglued with a little overpaint and a chip missing underneath on the inside ring. A flat chip to the handle side. Displays just fine. There is a bit of wear to the gilding on all pieces though that is less than what I usually see. The smaller pot is 5.75 inches tall, 3.25 inches wide and 6.5 inches with the spout and handle included. The larger pot is 8 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 8.75 inches with its spout and handle included. The sugar dish is 4.5 inches tall, 3.75 inches deep and 4.5 inches wide.
