Early Puce Scenic Plate

This is an early plate handpainted with superb puce scene in the center quite possibly painted by Pascha Weitsch and some really nice flowers on the rim which has a nice shape to it. The plate was made by Fuerstenberg in the very beginning of their existience during the 1753-1755 period. The plate is marked with a large underglaze blue F mark underneath as well as an incised B.4 It is 1.375 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter so rather large. The plate is in great condition with a chip to the rim mostly on the underside and some chipping to the footring at least some of which is from the making. There is a bit of paint flaking to the green of the flowers and a tiny bit of wear. All in all in great shape for being this old! Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $1999
