Tea / Coffee Set for 5

This is a super tea and coffee service set made by Fuerstenberg in the mid 20th century. About as nice an Eames era set as you can find. The set is for five / six people missing just a cup and saucer (the easiest to find item) to make it a complete set for 6 people! The set has the shape number 650 and design 01350. A stunning looking set with a fading brown ground color that is slamost black toward to the bottom and very light towards the top over which a continuos gold ring design was painted going from wider at the top to thinner and then disappearing towards the bottom. The brown ground is also in a ring design on the cups, saucers and plates which reminds me of the Trude Petri pieces at KPM. The outside of the cups, center of the plates and part of the handles and psouts was left white. Nice shape to all pieces and very mid century modern look. All pieces are marked with the underglaze blue mark including the letter F under a crown. Most have the name Fuerstenberg as well as Germany underneath as well as the red design numbers. The creamer has an older mark of just the letter F. in script with Germany under it. Some pieces have a scratch in the glaze on the udnerside done on purpose. Not over the mark just randomly placed. Not sure if this means they are second quality pieces as normally those would be placed over the marks. Never seen that before! All pieces are in great condition, no chips or restorations just the occasional wear or use mark but they display perfectly! The cups are 1.75 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter. The saucers are 0.875 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter. The dessert plates are 1 inch tall and about 7.75 inches in diameter. The sugar dish is 3 inches tall including the finial and 4.375 inches in diameter without the handles. The creamer is 2.375 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter, the teapot is 4 inches tall including the finial, 9.75 inches from handle to spout and 6.75 inches in diameter and last but not least the coffee pot is 8.25 inches tall includig the finial, 9 inches from handle to spout and about 5.5 inches in diameter.
