Flutist on Ormolu Base

This is a nice figurine of a flutist made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. Modeled nicely in their typical fashion and hand painted with their typical colors and style. No way to see the mark udnerneath the base since it is solidly attached to the superb ormolu bronze metal base which gives it some weight and adds elegance to the figure . The piece is of a flutist dressed nicely in a long loral decorated coat, a yellow vest with some riased decoration to it and black short pants plus pink shoes. The base is simple with a tree trunk in the back supporting the figure during the firing process. The figurine with the base is about 6 inches tall, 3.625 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. The piece is in great condition with a tiny chip to one pinky tip which is not visible when displayed and some damage to the base - a chip to the back as well as two hairlines - it looks like someone tried to pry the figure off its metal base but they are attached solidly and it would be next to impossible to remove them. All in all a superb piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
