Floral Garland Potpourri Vase

This is a superb large lidded potpourri vase made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century - or about 1760. The main body is hand painted with two amazing floral garlands held up by two pink bows (I think Furstenberg flowers are among the best out there!!). There are also two smaller floral arrangements to the sides and a nice gold trim to the top rim. The details of thee flowers is just stunning. Amazingly it comes with its original lid which is handpainted with three small flower arrangements in between reticulated panels. Nice gold finial and a matching gold trim to the edge. Furstenberg is famous for their vases and this piece here clearly shows why! The main body is in perfect condition with one side having some tiny fly ash spots from the firing process. The lid displays perfectly but has a large chip reglued and a forked hairline to the other side as well as a small chip to the underside ring that sits in the main body when in place. The entire piece displays amazingly and is truly one of those pieces you can look at all day :) The vase with its lid in place is 14.5 inches tall and about 7.5 inches in diameter. It is marked with the under glaze blue F mark (though impossible to make out as an F) on the inside top rim and underneath with an impressed No. 3 and the letter G.
