Asia & Africa Figurine

This is a figurine of Asia and Africa mady by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. A very well modeled and handpainted figurine of a great topic. The piece shows Asia represented by a putto with a turban next to him and Africa represented by a putto wearing an elephant head dress and holding some kind of torch. On the base there is a lion next to them. The figure is 6 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. It is not marked but quite obviously made by them! The piece is in great condition with the elephant trunk on the headdress missing, a chip to a finger on Afirca's left hand as well as a missing thumb on that hand and a minor chip to the base rim. Please email me for more information or photos.
