Orange Cup

This is a cup for oranges (I always thought it was a large egg cup!) made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. It is handpainted with a nice design and there is lots of relief decoration as well. It is in great condition with wear to the gold, it has a manufacturing flaw (black spot) to the inside and a spot on the outside where the paste isn't even. Some tiny and shallow chips to the bottom rim. Marked with the underglaze blue F mark as well as the letter G. or a 6. and an incised plus sign. It is rather large measuring almost 3.5 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. Probably since they ate goose eggs back then as well. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $499
