Chocolate Pot

This is a hot chocolate pot made by Fuerstenberg in about 1770. It is decorated with a well done underglaze blue handpainted design called Lottine of flowers and garlands, has a floral finial on the lid and a wooden hadle with a metal connection on the side. These chocolate pots are pretty rare nowadays. The pot is in great condition with a small chip to the bottom which is barely visible when the piece is standing, a microscopic chip to the finial and a scratch to one side. Otherwise the porcelain is perfect. The metal on the inside of the lid that is holding it in place has one side missing and the handle is loose which is an easy fix. The chocolate pot is 5.75 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. It is marked with the underglaze blue F script underneath the handle area and a number 3 underneath which is the size number.
