Erased Mark Cup and Saucer

This is a fun cup and saucer made by Fuerstenberg in the late 18th century. The cup is decorated with a relief design after the so called Capodimonte pieces that were actually made by Doccia. These raised designs are handpainted very nicely and there is a nice turquoise, red and gold trim to the top and bottom and on the rim of the saucer. The set has sadly seen better days but since it is quite interesting it was a must have for me. The cup has had the handle off and reglued and the saucer has a chip from which a hairlines goes into the saucer. A little bit of gold wear as well. They stlill display nicely and are quite unusual! Someone at some point removed all traces of the marks as well as the glaze from the underside. Not sure why as this is quite the nice and old set. Maybe during the war to make it look less attractive to looting!? The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.25 inhces in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
