Horse with Blackamoor Figurine

This is a figurine of a horse with a blackamoor mady by Fuerstenberg in about 1760. A very well modeled figurine of a great topic. The piece shows a horse being led by the blackamoor. It is painted quite nicely and is one of the bigger figurines I own by them. It is 10.25 inches tall, 7.25 inches wide and 10.5 inches long. It is marked underneath with the blue crossed swords mark they used quite a bit and it has an incised AB and the model number 136. The piece is in great condition but there has been a superb restoration to the right front leg, the right ear and the top of the tail (the bottom doesn't show any damage or separation so I assume it was a firing crack that was being hidden). There is also a firing crack in the base but it is not obvious due to the painting style on the base and the reigns are likely a replacement - these were never porcelain and in pictures of the old figurines it looks like it used to be leather. All in all the figurine displays perfectly! Please email me for more information or photos.
