18th Century Spoon

This is a spoon made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. It is superbly handpainted with a typical bird scene as well as some puce and gold trim and a flower on the handle and one underneath. It is in remarkable condition given the age and fragile nature. Just a little gold wear to the side trim. Underneath there is a spot of no glaze on the bowl part where the flower is partially painted and the handle area is also unglazed. This is where it would have set during the firing and thus this is always the case. A very nice piece! The spoon is 3.875 inches long, 0.875 inches wide and 0.625 inches tall. The bowl is 1.25 inches long and 0.875 inches wide. It is not marked but definitely made by them during this time period. Please email me for more information or photos.
