Cooper Figurine

This is a figurine of a barrel maker or Cooper made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. A very well modeled figurine of a great topic and quite the typical decoration for Fürstenberg around this time. The gentleman is superbly dressed and working on a bucket of some sort with his hammer and chisel while standing on a nice base. The figure is 4 inches tall, 3.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue script F mark as well as an impressed No.3 as shown. The piece is in great condition with a tiny bit of wear mainly to the very top of his hat and a chipped piece of hair over his left should as shown. I don't think that chip ever fully came off and does not take away from the peice at all! Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $999
