Atlas Design Small Pot

This is a small lidded pot made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a design called the Atlas design which was based on a woven fabric pattern. It is vyer rare to find this pattern by them and is just stunning. The multi colored bands go all around the top part except for the spout and handle area and all around the bottom part with a matching band around the lid. Nice handle and spout shape with lots of nice gold trim. A floral finial to the lid makes this one cute little piece! The pot is marked with the under glaze blue F mark underneath as well as a number 2 which is the size number and the usual impressed marks one finds on their wares during this period. The pot including the lid is 6.5 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The pot is in superb condition with some very very minor wear to the gilding around the top edge. The lid also ahs some very minor wear to the gilding along the edge and the finial was off and has been reattached. Could be done better but it displays beautifully! One very minor nibble to the top of the finial. Please email me for more information or photos.
