Faience Hurdy Gurdy Player

This is a faience figurine of a lady playing the hurdy gurdy made by one of the French faience makers in the 18th century possible Luneville . It is handpainted very simply and elegantly with good detail as can be expected from a quality maker of this period. The piece is in great condition with the end of the hurdy gurdy restored and some small glaze chips to her hands, instrument and her nose but all are small and just the glaze is affected. It is unmarked but certainly was made by one of the top French faience makers of this period. The figurine is 6.75 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep.
