Floral Cache Pot

This is a really nice early jadieniere / cache pot / flower pot made in France by one of the better makers in the 18th century. Possibly by Nierviller , Rue Thiroux or Marseille . Might have originally been a fruit cooler but this way they are always used for flowers which this one had been as well but I cleaned it. The piece is hand painted with a large floral arrangement to the front and back as well as smaller ones to the sides under the handles. The handles have a nice shape to them and are highlighted with a puce color. The piece is in great condition with some firing faults like tiny black spots and a bump in the paste painted over by a leaf - all from the making. It does have a spider hairline to the bottom which is hard to see from the inside. It is stable and not too big and issue and doesn't show when on display at all. The pot is marked underneath but it is impossible to see clearly. It is a puce mark with possibly an A in it but like I said it is impossible to make out. The piece is about 7.25 inches tall and 7.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
