Ferdinandea Cherub Scene Saucer #2

This is a rare saucer made in Naples , Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea in about 1790. The Capodimonte factory existed near Naples from 1743 until 1759. It had little to do with the Naples factory which was founded by Ferdinand IV in 1771 and was around until 1806 when the French occupied it and after that the molds, etc. were sold all over the place. The piece is hand painted with a superb scene of an amorini / cherub / angel with a floral wreath in one hand and a yellow cloth around his mid section with some nice gld trim to the rim as shown. The saucer is in perfect condition and is marked with a version of their under glaze blue N under a crown often used by other makers but originally used by Naples as is the case on this example here. It is 1 inch tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
