Tall Lady Figurine

This is a really nice pearlware figurine of Flora made in the 18th century. I had a really tough time finding her anywhere as she is quite different from what I would normally call a Staffordshire figurine but with some help ended up finding her in the Fitzwilliam museum identified as Flora (and labeled as such on the front of the base). No idea why there is a sheep - we'll call it artist liberties :) They identified the maker as Cambrian pottery in Swansea , Wales which later on made the famous Swansea porcelain. The figurine is superbly modeled and on first glance could be soft paste porcelain from Mennecy or such which is funny as I found another where the museum identified it as soft paste which it is clearly not. The lady is wearing a flowing floral outfit while holding a floral garland between her hands, a floral wreath in her hair and some more grasses and flowers on the base along with that sheep. The colors and quality is stunning and she is quite tall. The figure is 11.5 inches tall with a base diameter of 3.75 inches. The figure is in superb condition with some of the flowers in the garland missing and the wreath looks incomplete in her hair but that was made that way. A hairline in her dress right by the sheep, one ear missing off the sheep and a few minor mostly glaze chips along the base but about as perfect as they come. A truly stunning figurine! Unmarked which is the norm. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
