Square Potpourri Dish

This is an interesting lidded dish definitely made in England probably around 1830. I have never seen this shape so I ahve no idea on the actual maker or what type of dish it is. It could be a potpourri dish but that doesn't seem right, maybe a late chestnut basket or even some sort of flower arrangement frog type dish. Not sure. Either way it is a neat piece of porcelain. The main body has a square shape to it with a nice handle to each side. The insode is decorated with a couple of hand painted signle flowers. The outside has a nice hand painted floral arrangement to the front and back wtih two small single flowers to each side. It has a reeded pattern to the paste. Golg trim to the top and bottom edge and it sits on four feet with a turquoise and gold trim to them. The lid is reticulated with the knob having a hole in the center. Lots of gold trim and a floral design to thech corner. A really nicely decorated dish that looks stunning! The piece is in great condition with the flowers on the inside quite worn which means it was used regularly, The rest has very minimal wear if any but there is a large chip to one of the corners of the lid. Mainly visible from the underside as shown. Unmarked which makes it that much harder to ID but definitely from England around 1830. It is 4.125 inches tall and 5.75 inches square with the handles sticking out about 0.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
