Seashell decorated Inkwell

This is a really fun inkwell made in England in the first half of the 19th century. Rockingham comes to mind but it could be any number of makers from this period . The inkwell is rectangular in shape and sitting on four feet and is decorated with a green trim around the bottom and lots of gold trim as well. My favorite part however is the seashell decoration on top. The front two are jsut decoration while the back two are meant to be quill holders. The inkwell is in the center. Really an unusual piece with teh shells on top! The inkwell displays perfectly but there are some hairlines to the back right quill holder shell and the back left foot has been restored extremely well. The unusualness of the design makes up for the flaws I think! The piece is not marked but definitely English from the first half of the 19th century. It is 2.5 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $149
