Scenic Inkstand

This is a great triple inkwell ink stand made in England in the very early 19th century. I have seen similar pieces made by Worcester , Coalbrookdale as well as Derby but I don't think it is by the latter. A kidney shaped piece with a dolphin handle that has a hand painted scene to the front and some nice decoration in gold, puce, pink and salmon colors all around. The piece has four little holes to the top, the dolphin handle is open towards the top and there are three inkwells. Each inkwell comes with it's own container as well as the original lid. The two on the outside are a little smaller and shorter than the one in the center. I know these usually have a sander, an inkwell and a plain liner but these three here are original so someone wanted three liners. The piece is in great condition with a short hairline to the top as shown, a little wear generally just to the top and handle, I think the dolphin handle top was ground down a little to hide a chip and each liner has damage to the inside bottom likely from when the quill was let go into it from too high up but they still would hold ink safely if need be :) Amazing to have all the pieces still so that makes up for the little issues that one can expect from pieces that are 200 years old and meant to be used! The inkstand is unmarked which is fairly normal on English porcelain of this period. The piece is 3.25 inches tall including the lid finials, 6.25 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep!
