Leopard Figurine

This is a really fun figurine of a leopard made either in Derby or Staffordshire in the 18th century. They are both very similar since Staffordshire just plain out copied the Derby model. This figure here is made of porcelain but it came with a model that was made of Pearlware and definitely from Staffordshire. This piece here is of a ncie size and is very well modeled with one paw up in the air while sitting on a nice base with flowers on it and a tree stump in the back as support. Perfectly painted to make this one cute piece! The figure is in good condition with the lifted up leg being restored and the tail also has had some work done it in the area touching the back plus a small touch up on one ear and one leaf is missing on the base right under his belly. Really a superb figurine that displays perfectly! He is unmarked except for a black number 30 on the underside as shown. The figurine is about 4 inches tall at the tip of his tail, 2.75 inches deep and 4.25 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
