Pearlware Fox

This is a figurine of a fox made by an English maker in the late 18th century or early 19th century. He is made of pearlware and sits on a nice base painted in green to simulate grass with yellow trim on the edges. The fox is superbly painted with great detail. He is in great condition with a tiny chip to one ear, a bigger one to the other ear (mostly to the front so the shape of the ear is still intact and it's not very obvious), a chip to the bottom rim of the base in the back and a little wear. All in all he displays superbly! The figurine is 4 inches tall and the base is 2.5 inches by 1.875 inches. He is unmarked which is common during this time and place.
