Large Scenic Vase w/ Ram's Head Handles #1

This is a very large and nice vase made in England by an unknown maker probabyl in the later 19th or early 20th century. Not sure who made them. The quality is not top notch but it looks nice and is very decorative. The front has a large hand painted landscape scene to it including a boat on a lake with mountains in the background and greenery and rocks to the sides and foreground. The scene is surrounded by a gold trim with the rest of the vase having a turquoise ground color with a bit more gold trim to it. Each side has a ram's or goat's head handle to it that is nicely modeled with some gold detail to them and a red mouth. The base and main body are one piece not screwed toegther as one see more often on these large pieces. The piece is in good condition with crazing throughout common to English pieces, some wear to the gilding a couple of minor scratches and a few discolorations and flaws that are from when it was made mostly and the top inside has a ring that might mean it once had a lid which I do not have but all in all a very nice looking and decorative vase. I have a matching second vase I will add to the site if anyone is interested in a pair with a different scene. Unmarked or possibly marked as shown but not clear enough to figure it out. Looks to be a letter and some numbers sort of like English pattern numbers. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
