Unusual Box w/Blue Ribbons & Flowers

This is a really superb large box made in England in the 18th century. I ahve not seen one like it before but it was either made in the Bilston area of South Staffordshire region or possibly in the Birmingham or London area . They are all famous for their Battersea enamel boxes, etc. This is one of the nicest ones I have ever come across and larger than most as well. The piece has gilded copper mounts and is hand painted with a large scene in puce of a nude lady and a cherub - likely Amor / Cupid . It is really well done and even signed by the artist which I ahve never seen before though I could not find anything out about him. It is Jacob Kall and titled Sower or after Sower not sure. The udnerside has another superb puce scene on it including another nude lady and an older lady next to her with something raining down from the sun and cloud above them. The rest of the box has these really interesting blue ribbons painted throughout with a fine white lace pattern to it and some pieces with a red trim. In between all this ribbon are the usual flowers hand painted all over. A lot of work has gone into this piece and it is one of the nicest I have seen and definitely different from any others I have come across. The inside bottom is blank but has a bluish tint to it. The box is in great condition with a few hairlines to the enamel typical to these pieces as shown but no missing enamel. The gilding on the mounts is worn in places and the edges of the bottom scene are worn due to age and use but it does not distract from it at all. The lid closes nicely and stays shut. All in all an amazing and unusual example! The box is 1.5 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and 2.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
