Empire Period Shaped Vase

This is a vase made in England in the early 19th century more in the style of French pieces during the Empire period. Not entirely sure who made it but it is marked with an under glaze blue B which I cannot place. Possibly Rockingham or Coalport or any of these types of makers during this period. A really nicely modeled piece that has a nice shape to it and is superbly hand painted. It has two nude lady busts with wings as a handle to either side with the entire piece having deep cobalt blue ground color to it with some nice fancy gilding over that. The front and back each have a nice floral arrangement painted on white ground surrounded by a salmon colored ground with nice gilding to it forming the frame to the flower design. That looks amazing and the quality of the painting is very nice! All in all a superb piece and the cobalt blue with flowers always looks great. One of the best color combinations in the porcelain world I think! The vase is sadly not in the best condition. It displays superbly but one of the handles has been off and the wings have had work done to that handle as well. Almost done perfectly so it does not distract from the piece. The base has been regilded at the thinnest point and the part above that has been restored. That could be done better but does the trick in terms of display. Touch of wear to the gilding but very minor which helpts the piece look so nice! Small flaw from when it was made on top of the black base. The vase is about 8.625 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide including the handles and 3 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
