Rose Creamware Cup & Saucer

This is a superb Creamware cup and saucer most likely made in the Staffordshire region of England and certainly in the late 18th century. It is of very high quality - much nicer than most examples I have seen over the years being decorated with a handpainted floral design reminiscent of the King Rose design one sees on Staffordshire porcelain once in a while. There is one larger floral arrangement on either piece and two or three small flowers to fill in the rest. Nice red ring around the top. The set is in great condition with some minor issues - a few manufacturing flaws normal to this type of wear, a bit of wear and a glaze chip to the rim of the saucer which is very minor. There is some staining in the bottom inside of the cup from use but it matters little when on display! Neither piece is marked but that is normal for this type of item during this period. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.375 inches and the saucer is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 5 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
