Creamware Basket & Stand

This is a creamware chestnut basket and underplate / stand in pattern number 1637. I am pretty certain it was made by David Wilson & Sons , Hanley , Staffordshire , in the vey early 19th century around 1810. The basket is superbly modeled with reticulated sides and a handle to each side, is hand apitned with a really ncie floral design all around the inside rim and has a bit of brown trim. The underplate is painted in the same way. It is nice to find them still together and both are in superb condition with just a minor touch of age related wear in the form of white spots in the brown trim. The set displays perfectly! The basket is 2.625 inches tall, 8.875 inches wide and 5.375 inches deep. The underplate is 0.625 inches tall, 9.125 inches wide and 6.5 inches deep. Both pieces are marked with the pattern number and the stand also has a red A under it as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
