Bute Shaped Cornflowers Cup

This is a single nice cup made by Spode in the early 19th century between 1800 and 1810. I am pretty certain about my attribution given the handle shape though I ahve not seen this pattern by them before. The cup has the familiar Bute shape which was used before the London shape became more commonly used. It is hand painted with colorful cornflowerw with blue blossoms with a touch of red and yellow and green leaves. A bit of gold trim to the top edge and bottom as well as the handle. Really a cute design! Sadly no saucer but the cup is in great condition with jsut a touch of wear to the gilding along the top edge. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 3.25 inches. Unmarked but the idication of it being Spode are there. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
