Superb Rockingham Vase

This is a really nice vase made in England in the early 19th century. It was probably made by Rockingham but it could also be Coalport or any of these types of makers during this period. It's really hard to tell. Either way it is a superb piece. It has a nice shape to it with a handle to either side in the form of a fancy swan though the guy I bought it from thought they looked like dragons. The entire piece has a deep cobalt blue ground color to it with some nice fancy gilding over that with some areas of a white ground going towards and off white ground. Not the ebst color choice as it nowadays looks like an old restoration but it is not! The front and back each ahve a nice floral arrangement painted on the fading white ground. It looks stunning! The very top has a relief design to the paste with a bit of gilding in between. All in all a superb piece and the cobalt blue with flowers always looks superb. One of the best color combinations in the porcelain world I think! The vase is in great condition with a touch of wear to the gilding mostly around the base, a tiny flat chip to the bottom edge and a rough spot on the beak of one of the swans though that is no obvious and the piece displays perfectly! The vase is about 7.375 inches tall, 4.625 inches wide including the handles and 3 inches deep. Not marked but that is pretty normal! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
