Dudson Theatrical Couple

This is a superb pair of figurines made in the Staffordshire region in the mid 19th century. I found them during my search being declared as Rockingham commedia dell'arte but asked a friend that knows this stuff much better than me and she said they are Dudson theatrical figures. Either way they are superb. Nciely modeled and painted - one a lady holding a mask in her left hand and one a gent holding a mask in his right hand. They are amazingly in superb condition with jsut some wear to the gold highlights - no chips, repairs, etc. The figures are 7.25 and 7.5 inches tall, about 3.5 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. They are not marked but that would just make it easy for us - it is quite common on these types of pieces! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
