Porcelain Shoe

This is a fun porcelain shoe made in the Dresden area of Germany in the later 19th century I would guesstimate. Not something you see often at all especially one this nice. The shoe comes with a fully gilded heel, a tip that is turned upward and cut outs to the top but the best part is the descoration - all hand painted with different colored flowers scattered all around the outside and even the inside with lots of fancy gilding to the top edge and around the cut outs. It's a really nice looking fancy shoe! The piece is in perfect condition with the only issue being that for some reason when the did the triangular cutout to the very front the piece fell inside the shoe and was left there for the firing so now there is an extra piece of porcelain stuck inside. Someone was sleeping on their watch! Does not affect the piece at all and is sort of funny. The shoe is just under 3 inches tall, 6 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. It is unmarked underneath but typical in terms of decoration to the Dreasden makers. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $229
