Dresden Large Scenic Box

This is a superb and large scenic box made by a Dresden area maker in the mid to late 19th century. It has several large and detailed scenes on it of mostly couples in a superb landscape surroundings with some nice scroll work in light pink and light green with gold scrolls and a nice puce and gold design to the corners and center of the front as well. The hinges are probably brass and still attached the old way with metal rods piercing through the porcelain. The front has two scenes to it and the rest of the sides as well as top and inside top have a larger single scene to it. The scenes are all hand painted and of very nice quality! The box is in great condition with a minor touch of wear to the gilding and a single hairline to the front left corner as show from the outside and inside. Not obvious when on display and the peice looks amazing! It is not marked underneath but I am sure it is German most likely from the Dresden area during the mid to late 19th century. Someone added a soft material to the edges of the underside as to not scratch the surface of a piece of furniture. The box is 3.75 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 4.875 inches deep.
