Devilled Eggs Serving Dish

This is a superb serving plate / dish made for devilled eggs by the Dresden maker Heufel & Co from Germany. Their specialty were things like this and they were often exported to the US. The piece would date to the early 20th century. The dish is just a fun piece to look at. It has six wells in the shape of half eggs in which one could plate the devileld eggs. Each well is hand painted with a superb floral arrangement as well as a nice gold trim and attached to the plate which has some more small single flowers hand painted on it as well as a fancy relief rim design highlighted with more gilding. The dish is in superb condition with some very wear to the gilding as well as a firing flaw or two and two chips to the inside of the foot ring as shown. It displays perfectly and looks amazing! The plate is 1.5 inches tall including the cups and about 8 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the letter H under a crown over Dresden in blue as well as Germany in black under that. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
