Amazing Cobalt Blue, Gold & Scenic Larger Brush

This is a really superb clothes brush with the main body made of porcelain hand painted most likely in the Dresden area of Germany and from around the late 19th century. Lamm or Wehsney come to mind but it could be another one of the makers from this region. Part of a vanity set I assume. This is a long, narrow brush that was once used to brush dirt and lint off of clothing after a day out on the town. The porcelain is hand painted with a superb cobalt blue ground with lots of gilding to it with raised highlights but the best part is the Watteau style scene of a couple in a landscape surrounding. Hand painted very nicely. The cobalt blue and gold combo does not get any better in the world of porcelain and the detail here is top notch! Never seen a better one. The porcelain part is attached to a wooden part with the seam hidden by a nice brass (I think) decorative trim attached with tiny nails. The brushes are attached to the wooden part. The piece is in perfect condition with the brass seam being a bit loose due to just using tiny nails and no glue to attach it so it was amde that way and one spot of the seam is discolored but that could be polished if need be quite easily. It displays perfectly! No visible maker's mark. Monogramm in gold which I think is ELA on the top left. The brush is 7.625 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. A really nice piece and not something one sees often at all especially this nicely done. I also own the matching smaller one in this shape and a hair brush as well as a hand mirror which will also be listed. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
