Doccia Serving Platter

This is a serving platter made by Doccia / Ginori in about 1770. It is hand painted with a superb fancy tulip floral design called the tulipano pattern though I have also seen it being called the Ischia pattern in the center and four smaller designs on the rim. Nice rim design to the paste as well. The plate is very typical for Doccia around this time period and the design is quite famous. It is covered with their tin glaze which they used around this period to hide the fact that their porcelain wasn't as white as they wanted it to be. The plate is in superb condition with a little bit of wear but it displays beautifully. Some chips to the foot ring but they are glazed over and from when the piece was made. It is not marked underneath but that is normal. The platter is 1.5 inch tall, 12.75 inches wide and 9.875 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $799
