Ginori Scenic Tray

This is probably my favorite Doccia piece I have ever seen. It is a rare scenic tray made by Ginori in about 1760. It is handpainted in the center with a superb scene in a typical style for this maker with a purple background and a grisaille lady rising a beast (lion type animal). She is holding a spear like contraption in her right hand and is pouring out a cup that is in her left hand. The scene is surrounded with a red and gold trim, then there are four of the best quality flower arrangements I have seen by them in the four corners with smaller flowers scattered throughout and the rim has a superb trim as well. A very fancy piece and definitely made for someone very important no question about it. The tray is in superb condition regarding usage - almost no wear but sadly it was broken at some point but was restored back to perfection! The piece is tin glazed and unmarked except for a later written addition from I think a museum. N.o 19 and Capo di Monte something something like 1860. One of my new favorites for sure! The tray is 0.875 inches tall, 10.5 inches deep and 15 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
