Doccia Tin Glaze Tulip Plate #5

This is a deep plate / soup bowl made by Doccia / Ginori in about 1770. It is hand painted with a superb floral design called Ischia or Tulipano in the center and six smaller floral arrangements on the rim. Nice rim design as well. The plate is very typical for Doccia around this time period and the design is quite famous. It is made with a tin glaze to cover the not so white porcelain paste of the time. This was used around 1770. The plate is in good condition with a little wear and a small glaze chip to the underside edge as shown. There is a firing flaw along the rim adge whch has been partially covered with a leaf. It is marked underneath with a red number 17 which is fairly typical for them at the time. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
