Doccia Small Sorbet Dish

This is a nice small leaf shaped dish made by Doccia in about 1770. It is a sorbet dish for the semi-liquid ice cream which is typical Italian. These types of dishes are superbly detailed for such small items and the type of porcelain and colors make them perfect for display and use! The outside has a relief design of a leaf that is painted in green and the inside has a nice handpainted floral arrangement. The handle is the stem of the leaf. It is made of tinglazed porcelain. The dish is in perfect condition. It is not marked but that is the norm for these pieces. The dish is 1.625 inches tall (including the handle), 2.375 inches wide and 3.25 inches long.
