Doccia Scenic Sugar Dish

This is a superb lidded sugar dish made by Doccia in the late 18th century. It is handpainted with four great ruin scenes with lots of detail to them as well as a nice blue and gold trim to the edge of both the bottom and the lid. Nice loop handle with some gilding to it on the lid. The base piece as well as the lid are in perfect condition with some wear to the gilding on the very edge of the lid. The entire piece is 5.5 inches tall (including the loop finial) and 3.875 inches in diameter. The base is marked underneath with a gold star as shown.
