Doccia Saxon Scene Cup

This is a superb cup made by Doccia / Ginori in the 18th century. It is painted in the Saxon style of the best German factory. Doccia made a few services in styles copying Meissen but needless to say they had nothing to worry about in terms of competition :) Still a superbly painted cup with a nice hand painted scenes surrounded by nice trim that even has an attempt to copy the Boettger luster in it with the iron red scrolls. The scene is of a shepherd attending to his flock in a landscape surrounding. Nice handle in a very typical shape for this maker. The cup is in superb condition with some wear to the gold trim around the top edge and handle. The cup is marked only with a 6. but that is normal on Doccia pieces. The cup is just under 2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches and the handle sticks out about 0.625 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
