Doccia Rose Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Doccia in the 18th century. The set is handpainted with three rose flowers, a rose bud and a ring of leaves around the rim as well as a gold trim. This pattern is called the Amalfi pattern. Good quality as one expects from a top maker. The cup handle also has some gilding on it and is the typical shape for Doccia. The set is in great condition with a little wear mostly to the gold trim. The cup is not marked but the saucer has an incised mark that looks like an omega symbol. No doubt about of these being from Doccia as the flowers and paste are typical and unquestionably made by them. The cup is 2.75 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
