Superb Relief Scene Rim Plate #2

This is a fun plate made by Doccia / Ginori in the later 19th century. One rarely ever sees plates in this style and judging by the gold foot ring which was generally reserved for very important pieces it must be rather special. I also think these are some of the most fun plates around and one could actually use them since the center is not decorated except for a gold flower in the very middle. The plate is superbly decorated with raised relief mythological / biblical scenes all along the rim that are quite detailed and very well hand painted. Nice gold trim to the edge and around the outside of the well which has a relief wave type design to it. The piece is in perfect condition. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 8.75 inches. It is marked with their under glaze blue crown over the letter N underneath as shown.
