Doccia Early Relief Design Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice early cup and saucer set made by Doccia in Italy in the late 18th or early 19th century. The cup is decorated with a relief design all around including Venus riding in a carriage on clouds pulled by a pair of swans with a putto. Some other nude ladies and more putti / cherubs fill in the rest of the space. Red corral branch handle and gold trim to the top and bottom. The saucer is decorated with a relief design of floral garlands held up by angels / cherubs. The design is hand painted very nicely and there is a gold trim to the edge. Four scattered small flowers in the center as well as a tiny leaf. The cup & saucer are in superb condition with a minor touch of wear to a flower or two on the saucer and some extra spots of porcelain paste (over the Venus carriage is an example that can be seen i the pcitures. Some minor flaws are to be expected on these early pieces. Both are unmarked normal on their earlier wares. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.375 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.5 inches tall with a diameter of 3.5 inches so a nice large example. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
