Doccia / Ginori Relief Scene Vase #2

This is a fun urn / vase made by Doccia / Richard Ginori in the 19th century. The urn has a nice shape to it with the two handles up top and a thin opening plus nice base. The piece is superbly decorated with a wrap around relief scene that is hand painted as well as some colorful designs to the top edge. The part under the opening as well as around the foot has the typical floral arrangements held up by putti and there is a nice leaf garland under the scene and on the base. The square part of the base has a marbled effect to it which is great and the thin bottom part of the main body has a larger leaf design to it. Quite typical of this maker and a very nice example of their work. A bit of gold trim here and there make this a very fun and elegant vase! Hard to find the real Doccia / Ginori pieces! The German and French copies are much more common. The vase is in excellent condition with just a touch of wear to the gilding mainly around the top opening. The piece is marked underneath with the N under a crown as shown. The piece is about 9 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
