Doccia 18thC "Capodimonte" Cup & Saucer

This is a rare cup & saucer made by Doccia in the 18th century. I have come across quite a few from the 19th century but the earlier pieces are very elusive! The cup is decorated with biblical or mythological scenes in relief all around that are hand painted very nicely. It has a red coral branch handle on one side. The saucer has the usual really neat relief design with swags of relief flowers in between. The difference is the colors as the flowers are more in their typical 18th century colors and the designs in between are just purple, blue and gold which was how thye painted them early on before they became more colorful. Each piece is in great condition with a touch of wear to the gilding and a few firing / paste flaws. The ones in the center of the saucer were covered with tiny gold bugs. The set displays perfectly and it's rare to find them from this period! Neither piece is marked but that is normal for this maker during this period. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 5.5 inches in daimeter and the cup is just over 3 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter and the lid has a diameter of 3 inches and is about 2 inches tall.
