Doccia Puce Scenic Cup & Saucer

This is a rare scenic cup and saucer set made by Doccia in about 1770. Both are handpainted with a very detailed landscape scene in puce as well as a cobalt blue ground to fill in the other areas and a very nice gold trim. This is one of their best and most famous designs and a new favorite of mine! The set is in perfect condition with a little wear to the gilding on the saucer rim! Both are unmarked except for a gilt mark underneath the cup which is very common but they are definitely made by them. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.875 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
